Beginning
In 2010 Faith Cummings decided to open a day nursery that would care for children in a home-from-home environment, be underpinned by traditional values and with staff whose primary focus was to offer the best experience for each and every child.
Faith opened her first nursery in September 2011 in Great Barr; Hildarose House. Her desire to instil those traditional values, saying please and thank-you, hello and goodbye, being polite and respectful to other children and adults and sitting down to enjoy mealtimes together in order to socialise and interact was, and is a firm foundation for everything that children experience at 5 Star Day Nurseries.

In 2015 Faith opened her second nursery at Elder Lodge in Oldbury, a traditional-style,
Faith’s team of dedicated Early Years professionals support that ethos across every area of nursery life from day-to-day activities planning to strategic management decisions. Every member of the team is an essential part of the 5 Star family and shares in the values that Faith feels are the essential building blocks of every child’s life journey to adulthood.
The Senior Management team that includes Faith, Kelly, Susan and Kirsty work closely together to develop the business, determine on the direction of the company, make essential day to day decisions and support staff to grow and develop themselves as a team, as individuals, and as practitioners.
Their dedication and passion for making 5 Star ‘simply the best’ is the driving force in the business.
